Luxury Food...

At Chalet Le Frene, food is a big passion of ours. We enjoy experimenting in the kitchen almost as much as playing in the snow! The summer months and weeks before guests arrive are spent trying out new ideas and flavor combinations to ensure you enjoy some truly memorable meals during your stay.

Jo has considerable catering experience gained over 16 seasons here at the chalet, and from many years of restaurant ownership back in England. Expect a range of classical Savoyard dishes such as Tartiflette and local cured meats all the way to Asian creations inspired by  a love of food and travel. 

We of course understand that some people may not like certain ingredients or have special dietary requirements. Please let us know in advance and we will make sure we tailor the menu to suit your needs. 

 

The fully catered experience consists of the following;

  • Continental breakfast served 7 days a week including freshly baked croissants and bread from our bakers. Hot options of eggs and porridge are also available. 
  • A freshly baked cake will be ready for your arrival back from the pistes along with tea or coffee, or possibly something stronger if you so desire as complimentary beer and wine is provided throughout your stay. 
  • Sumptuous 3 course evening meal with pre dinner nibbles provided on 6 out of the 7 days. We will happily help you find and book a restaurant on our day off if you would like us to.
  • Complimentary Wine, Beer and soft drinks provided throughout your stay. 
 
For guests staying over Christmas and New year we serve up special canapes with champagne by the fire to kick the celebrations off in style! If there are any other special occasions during your stay such as birthdays or anniversaries, let us know and we will get the bubbly on ice or turn afternoon tea into a birthday cake!
